CareTail Account Deletion

CareTail supports optional Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication. You can use CareTail without an account. If you choose to sign in, you can request deletion of your CareTail account at any time.

How to delete your CareTail account in the app

To delete your CareTail account from within the app:

1. Open the CareTail app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Open the Account section.
4. Tap Delete account.
5. Choose whether to delete only your account sign-in or your account sign-in and local app data.

What gets deleted

If you choose Delete account, CareTail deletes your Firebase Authentication account used for Google Sign-In.

If you choose Delete account and local app data, CareTail also deletes local app records stored on your device, such as pet profiles, reminders, diary entries, and document records.

Local data on your device

CareTail is local-first. Your pet care records are stored on your device in this version. Deleting your Google Sign-In account does not automatically delete local pet care data unless you explicitly choose to delete local app data as well.

Please contact us from the email address associated with your Google Sign-In account, if possible.

Data retention

We may retain limited information if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or compliance reasons. CareTail does not upload your pet care records to our own cloud database in this version.
